Sassy AI is operated by the owner of itssassy.ai ("we", "us", "our"). We provide an AI-powered conversational assistant accessible at itssassy.ai.

What We Collect

We collect what's necessary to run the product and provide the accountability features:

• Email address and name — when you sign up or sign in (including via Google), to identify your account and verify your subscription.
• Your goals and progress — this is the important one. To act as your accountability partner, Sassy stores on our servers, tied to your account: the goals you're working toward, why they matter to you, your stated constraints, the decisions you make, patterns in your behavior that come up, and the specific commitments/next steps you agree to (including their due dates, status, and how they turned out). See "Your goals & progress" below for how to view or delete this.
• Chat conversations — the full text of your conversations is stored in your browser's local storage, on the device you're using — not on our servers. We do, however, derive and store the structured goals-and-progress summary described above from those conversations.
• Usage data — your message and voice-play counts, stored on our servers to enforce plan limits (and mirrored locally on your device).
• Basic analytics — anonymous events about how the site is used (e.g. landing page viewed, signup started), tied to a random identifier, not to your name. This helps us understand where the product can improve.
• Device identifier — a privacy-friendly identifier used to track free message usage.
• Subscription and payment data — handled entirely by Stripe. We receive only your email and subscription status. We never see or store your card details.

Your Goals & Progress — and How to Delete Them

Because Sassy is built to remember your situation and hold you accountable, she keeps a record of what you're working toward and how it's going. We want to be completely clear about this:

• What we store: your goal(s), the reason they matter to you, your constraints, the path/decision you've chosen, patterns Sassy notices, and your commitments and their outcomes.
• Why: so Sassy can pick up where you left off, keep you on track, and follow up on what you said you'd do — instead of starting from zero every time.
• How to see it: open the app, go to your account settings, and tap "Your journey — what Sassy knows" to view everything stored about you.
• How to delete it: in the same settings, tap "Start fresh — erase what Sassy knows" and confirm. This permanently erases your stored goals, decisions, constraints, patterns, and commitments from our servers. You can also email us at hello@itssassy.ai to request deletion of your data.
• How long we keep it: until you delete it or ask us to close your account.

What We Do NOT Do

• We do not sell your data to third parties — ever.
• We do not use your conversations or your goals to train AI models.
• We do not record, store, or retain your voice audio (see below).
• We do not serve ads or share your data with advertisers.
• We do not track you across other websites.
• We store only what's needed to run the service — and you can delete your goals and progress at any time.

Voice & Audio Data

When you use voice features, your text is converted to audio by ElevenLabs. We have enabled the following privacy protections:

Voice input (speech-to-text) is processed by your browser's built-in Web Speech API. This data is handled by your browser and device and is not sent to our servers.

Cookies & Local Storage

Sassy AI uses your browser's local storage (not traditional cookies) to store:

• Your email address and subscription status
• Message and voice usage counts
• Chat history (stored on your device only — never sent to our servers)
• Your voice and display preferences

You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's site data for itssassy.ai.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
• Opt-out — unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time
• Portability — request your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@itssassy.ai. We will respond within 30 days.

Data Retention

• Your goals & progress — stored on our servers, tied to your account, until you erase it ("Start fresh") or ask us to delete it. Removed promptly on request.
• Chat transcripts — the full text is stored on your device only (browser local storage). Cleared when you clear browser data or start fresh.
• Account data — retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request.
• Voice audio — immediately deleted after generation (zero retention mode enabled).
• Payment records — retained by Stripe as required by law.

Children's Privacy

Sassy AI is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately at hello@itssassy.ai.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Sassy AI after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
